Mission Statement for Sadaa:
Sadaa, “Voice” in Urdu/Persian, is an arts collective which provides a forum for artists, writers, and film makers to express themselves while promoting cultural diversity, raising awareness, and understanding.
The idea for Sadaa was first developed in January 2004 by a group of Seattle-based women artists of Muslim origin who wanted to raise awareness and give a voice to people who are usually not heard in the mainstream media.
Sadaa is a Seattle based project managed by Ayesha Khan and Laila Kazmi.
